With 50,000 students, the FOM University is one of the largest private universities in Germany and offers part-time Bachelor and Master courses in the fields of business, IT, engineering and health & social affairs.
Founded in 1991 as an initiative of the non-profit foundation BildungsCentrum der Wirtschaft, the university was officially recognized in 1993 and today offers over 40 accredited courses.
The FOM University maintains a network with around 37 partner universities worldwide, which enables students to stay abroad during their studies. The FOM University currently employs around 1,000 people and 2,000 teachers at 29 universities across Germany and one university in Vienna. The head office is in Essen.
